Running and Quitting the Game
·A player can run a game by opening the "RPG_RT.exe" file in the game folder, or by using a startmenu/desktop shortcut created by a game installer.
·To end the game, choose “To Title Screen” from the main menu of the game, then choose “Shutdown” from the title screen. When playing in windowed mode, the game can also be closed by clicking the [X] button at the top-right corner of the title bar. Another way to end the game is by pressing the [Alt] and [F4] keys simultaneously.
Game Controls
·Three types of keys are used during gameplay: directional, select, and cancel.
·These functions are assigned to certain keys as follows:

* "NumX" keys refer to the keys on the number pad.
* When using a joystick or gamepad, the directional pad and the analog stick serve as the directional keys, buttons 1 and 3 are the select keys, and button 2 is the cancel key.
·The functions of each key range from manipulating the character on the map, to choosing options from message windows. These are the main functions:
oControl key
o(Character control)
o(Commands, choosing options)
oDirectional keys
Moves the character in various directions
Moves the cursor in various directions
oSelect/ Decision key
Checks (talk, investigate, etc.) the character's current location or facing location.
Chooses the option that is currently highlighted by the cursor.
oCancel key
Opens the menu screen.
Cancels one action, or closes the menu screen (*1).
·Depending on the game events, keys other than the ones above may be used. Usable keys are as follows:

·The function keys have the following uses.
[SHIFT]: This will enable the player to skip dialogue when in playtest.
[CTRL]: In playtest, this will enable the player to walk through obstacles such as walls and unpassable tiles and prevent enemy encounters.
[F4]: Toggles fullscreen/windowed modes.
[F5]: Opens the [Video Options].
[F9]: Opens the Debug Menu when in playtest.
[F10]: Cancels the currently running event (autostart events are restarted) when in playtest.
[Alt+F12]: Returns to the title screen. During battle test mode, it restarts the battle. (Pressing F12 alone will show a message "Press Alt+F12 to restart", because in previous versions, F12 alone was used as restart hotkey.)
In-Game Commands
·The in-game menu commands can be customized to fit the game. Changes can be made in the [Database] window, under the [System 2] tab in [Command Customization].
Items: Use items.
Skills: Use skills.
Equipment: Equip items.
Status: Check character statuses.
Row: Set the character's formation (front or back).
Formation: Change your party order.
Wait ON/OFF: Enable/disable waiting mode in battle. The default mode is ON. If waiting mode is enabled, enemies will not attack while the player is selecting a skill or item to use.
Save: Save game progress.
To Title: Return to title screen.
* Terms used for commands may differ from game to game, as they are changeable from the [Terms] tab in the [Database] window. The default names will be used here.
·Commands that can be selected on the battle screen are as follows:
A.Party command. Select an action for the whole party to take. This command is available if [Battle screen interface] under [Battle screen] in [Database] is set to B type or Gauge type.
Fight: Battle manually.
Auto: Battle automatically (skips character command selection and attacks repeatedly).
Escape: Attempt escape from battle.
B.Character command. If “Fight” is selected as a party command, the actions of each character can be specified. Commands can be customized for each character in the database (under the tab [Battle Screen] in [Combat Commands]).
Attack: Attack with currently equipped weapon.
Item: Use an item.
Defend: Defend against attacks, reducing damage taken.
Escape: Escape mid-battle.
Skills: Use created skills.
Row: Switch character positions from front to rear and vice versa.
Command names may differ from game to game (changeable from the [Battle Screen] tab in the [Database] window, under [Individual Setting] – [Battle Commands]). The default names will be used here.

In situations when an option has already been processed, such as after using an item or after entering a battle, the action cannot be canceled.
